Dominique Derome appointed as a member of the Office des professions du Québec

Brossard, April 23, 2018 - Dominique Derome, Vice-President – Finance, IT and Business Processes at the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ), has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Office des professions du Québec by the Council of Ministers in March 2018. She will contribute to a better long-term cohesion of the Québec professional system, in addition to helping adopt the regulations of some 46 professional orders in Québec.

Ms. Derome has about 20 years of experience within the Quebec professional system and has been entrusted with mandates on behalf of several professional orders. Her knowledge and leadership will help her carry out the Office’s mission of ensuring that each professional order in Québec protects the public. 

“It is an honour for me to be able to help advance the Québec professional system. With public protection at heart, this appointment is a natural progression in my career and complements the mission I pursue in my everyday work at the OACIQ.”

She will sit on the Board of Directors of the Office des professions du Québec each month, while pursuing her mandate at the OACIQ. 

About Dominique Derome

Dominique Derome has been a CPA since 1994 and got the Fellow title in 2005. She was a member of the discipline committee of the Ordre des CPA du Québec from 2012 until her appointment to the Office des professions du Québec. She has been acting as a Corporate Director since 2016.

About the OACIQ

The OACIQ ensures the protection of members of the public who enlist the services of real estate and mortgage brokerage professionals governed by the Real Estate Brokerage Act.
