The Court of Quebec upheld on appeal the decision of the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) that suspended Lise Desmarais’ real estate broker licence, notably for having acted to the detriment of the seller’s interests by inciting her to lower the selling price so she can offer to buy the immovable thereafter, for having knowingly included false information in a promise to purchase and for having negotiated the withdrawal of the assistance request concerning her.
