Welcome to the Real Estate Literacy Month 2025, an initiative of the OACIQ
Stay informed to be better protected!
The Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) invites all those interested in real estate–current or future homeowners, buyers or sellers–to take part in the Real Estate Literacy Month activities, which will take place from April 1 to 30, 2025.
A Léger Marketing survey of 1,001 Quebecers conducted in May 2024 revealed that 58% of respondents believe they have poor knowledge of real estate. To remedy this situation and better inform the public, the OACIQ is launching the Real Estate Literacy Month, a unique opportunity to provide buyers and sellers with all the information they need for the most important transaction in their lives.
The entirely virtual activities of the Real Estate Literacy Month 2025 include interviews with experts, content to help you with your transaction, and the opportunity to contact agents at the information centre Info OACIQ to get answers to your questions.
It is not necessary to have a current purchase or sale transaction to participate in the activities, and no solicitation will be made. This is a unique opportunity to discuss matters with the OACIQ, which oversees real estate brokerage licensees and implements public protection measures.
