OF MR. YVON MONTPETIT’S LICENCE

NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. Yvon Montpetit, former real estate broker (licence no. C0053), whose establishment was located in Saint-Hubert, has notably been found guilty by the Discipline Committee of the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) of the offence summarized below:
1st count: During the months of January, February and March 2005, concerning a unit of an immovable held in co-ownership, mandated a real estate agent to obtain a mortgage financing for the acquisition of this unit, whereas he knew or should have known that this agent would be applying for a loan with a financial institution on the basis of misrepresentations, the whole contrary to Section 13 of the Rules of Professional Ethics of the ACAIQ.
On April 3, 2013, the Discipline Committee ordered a suspension of Mr. Yvon Montpetit's real estate broker’s licence (C0053) for a period of twelve (12) months and one (1) day on count no. 1 of the formal complaint, to be served as of the expiry of the appeals deadline if the defendant is the holder of a licence issued by the OACIQ or, if not, whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
Given that Mr. Yvon Montpetit is no longer a licence holder, his licence will be suspended for a period of twelve (12) months and one (1) day whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., C-73.2, r.3).
