LICENCE SUSPENSION NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that George Maniatis, former real estate broker, licence No. E7341, whose establishment was located in Laval, has notably been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offence summarized below:

Count 1: Regarding the application for a loan secured by immovable hypothec in order for the buyer to purchase an immovable, acted blindly and/or by accommodation, under the instructions of a third party, by:

a) On or around June 23, 2010, preparing a brokerage contract and giving it to a third party in order for her to obtain the buyer's signature;

b) On or around July 6, 2010, giving the "mortgage commitment" to a third party in order for her to obtain the buyer's signature;

c) On or around July 7, 2010, transmitting documents and/or information to the bank in support of the financial application, while said documents and/or information had been provided by a third party, without verifying their veracity directly with the buyer;

d) At all relevant times between June 23 and July 7, 2010, omitting to perform the buyer's identity verification.

On April 27, 2016, the Discipline Committee ordered the suspension of George Maniatis's licence No. E7341 for a period of 90 days, to be served whenever he becomes a licence holder again.

This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
