NOTICE OF A LICENCE SUSPENSION

NOTICE is hereby given that Mariana Bortan, former real estate broker, licence No. D8230, whose establishment was located in Montréal, has notably been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offence summarized below:

Count 3: Following the signing of a brokerage contract dated February 1, 2007 and concerning an immovable, recorded or allowed someone to record on the description sheet of the immovable at the Multiple Listing Service: “visit with PP+mortgage pre-approval only. Thank you. (Sic)” and then “visit with PP or mortgage approval only. Thank you. (Sic)” while allowing buyers she was representing to visit the immovable without presenting any promise to purchase and/or mortgage pre-approval.

On December 7, 2017, the Court of Québec rendered enforceable the decision of the Discipline Committee dated August 18, 2014, which ordered the suspension of Mariana Bortan’s real estate broker licence No. D8230 for a period of 15 days on count 3.

Since Mariana Bortan is no longer a licence holder, her licence will be suspended for a period of 15 days whenever she becomes a licence holder again.

This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
