NOTICE OF A LICENCE SUSPENSION

NOTICE is hereby given that Pierre Dufault, former broker, licence No. A8818, whose establishment was located in Sherbrooke, has been found guilty by the OACIQ Discipline Committee of the offences summarized below:
Count 1: Between or about June 17, 2015, concerning an immovable:
a) had the seller sign a brokerage contract;
b) aroused the interest of the prospective buyer to acquire the said immovable;
while he had signed:
i. on July 16, 2014, a loan deed with the said seller whereby the latter lent him an amount of $35,000;
ii. On June 12, 2015, an acknowledgement of debt in the amount of $50,150 in favour of said prospective buyer.
Count 2: On or about July 17, 2015, concerning an immovable, accepted or proposed to inspect the said immovable with the prospective buyer.
On July 20, 2017, the Discipline Committee ordered the suspension of Pierre Dufault's licence No. A8818 for a period of 30 days, to be served whenever he becomes a licence holder again.
This notice is given in accordance with section 33 of the Regulation respecting the issue of broker’s and agency licences (R.R.Q., c. C-73.2, r.3).
